As a Sales Engineer you're our forward deployed engineer: you stand next to the customer and make sure Sainer works in their world. You switch effortlessly between the commercial conversation at the table and the technology underneath it, and you're not afraid to get your hands dirty.
A prospect wants a connection to a system we don't support yet? You build a custom action against their API and show live that it works. That's how you turn 'interesting' into a signed deal.
You work at the intersection of sales, product and engineering. You're the technical voice in the sales conversation and the commercial voice in the engineering team. Short lines mean what you pick up at the customer actually lands in the product.
You start with a demo for a prospect who wants to see whether Sainer talks to their CRM. In the afternoon you build a custom action against their API and send back a working proof-of-concept. You wrap up with a quick sync with engineering about an integration multiple customers will use.
